1. United Way of Williamson County Day of Caring 2019
United Way Day of Caring is a community-wide service event that addresses critical needs through meaningful volunteer action. Each year, hundreds of volunteers lend a hand at nonprofits and schools all over Central Texas.
OUR MISSION: To provide and protect the community blood supply, to inspire Central Texans to save lives locally, and to always treat everyone we serve as family.
5. SmartyPants Vitamins USMS Fitness Series – USMS Swimming Saves Lives Foundation
The Fall Fitness Challenge is a 1-mile swim which is the third event in the SmartyPants Vitamins USMS Fitness Series. Proceeds from this event go to the USMS Swimming Saves Lives Foundation. The USMS Swimming Saves Lives Foundation works hard to reduce factors that can influence drowning risk, including the inability to swim, by serving as a financial and educational resource for programs nationwide that provide adult learn-to-swim lessons.
In the weeks leading up to the Hike for Hunger, the Don Quick Team collected a barrel of non-perishable food to benefit the Round Rock Area Serving Center for the holiday season. On Saturday, Nov. 16th, The Round Rock Police Department and the U.S. Army led the 2019 Hike for Hunger Food Drive. Our volunteers, along with other community paticipants, hiked 2 miles from the U.S. Army Round Rock Recruiting Center to the Round Rock Area Serving Center carrying rucksacks filled with food.
Operation Turkey is a community of volunteers with no paid employees that work together to ensure that everyone receives a meal on Thanksgiving Day. Each year we prepare, package, and deliver meals to the homeless and less fortunate in just 4 hours.
8. Front Steps – Austin Resource Center for the Homeless
The Austin Resource Center for the Homeless (ARCH) serves as the first point of entry into the homeless social service system for many of Austin’s adults experiencing homelessness. Our doors are open to everyone, whether this is their first time being homeless, or they have been living on the streets for years. The ARCH is designed to assess client needs, provide information on how and where to access services, and meet the basic emergency needs of homeless adults. The ARCH also provides sleeping areas for homeless people to rest, day or night, and a Day Resource Center to get out of the elements during the day.
Angel Tree provides Christmas assistance to families in need in Travis and Williamson Counties. Through The Salvation Army Angel Tree program, donors can give joy to a child in need during the holiday season. Every child deserves to experience the joy of Christmas morning. Through Angel Tree, thousands of local children will find gifts waiting under their Christmas trees.
Pathways Youth and Family Services Inc. is a non-profit social service organization providing a wide array of programs and services to communities across the state of Texas including foster care, adoption, behavior health, and more.
11. Don Quick & Associates, Inc. Minibags for Charity Benefitting Caritas of Austin
During our 2019 company holiday party, our agents and staff members competed in a mini-cornhole competition to raise money for a charity. In about one hour, we raised $360.
Caritas of Austin is working to end homelessness in Austin. Together with clients, community partners and you, we can end homelessness in Greater Austin. They provide assistance with employment, housing, food, education, and Veterans assistance.
Cambodia Crocheting Sisters is a volunteer, 100% non-profit organization created to provide income earning opportunities for the women who live in the community surrounding the Phnom Penh City Dump & educational scholarships for children living in orphanages.
Operation Blue Santa is a non-profit program organized by volunteers and employees of the Round Rock Police and Fire Department. Since 1978 Operation Blue Santa has delivered toys and food to thousands of families in need so that we may continue to advance the cause of helping those that are less fortunate along with, helping the Round Rock Community celebrate the magic of the holiday season.
14. $10,000 Donation on behalf of Quick Family Teachers
On January 16th, Don Quick & Associates, Inc. donated $10,000 to Round Rock ISD through the Round Rock Partners in Education Foundation. This donation will pay off all current free and reduced lunch debt for 16 Round Rock schools, and will also benefit two more extremely important RRISD programs: Round Rock ISD FiT (Families in Transition) Program and Round Rock ISD PTA Clothes Closet (campus direct giving). The donation is a tribute to the 13 Quick Family Members who have served a combined 346 years in public education.
On March 7, 2020, The Don Quick Team cleaned up THE Round Rock for It's My Park Day - Austin Parks Foundation's largest one ever with over 4,000 volunteers, 110 projects, & 1,231 cubic yards of mulch spread! We filled more than 25 bags with a wide variety of trash including everything from rusted car parts to old traffic cones. Both Memorial Park and Brushy Creek - home of the Round Rock - mean so much to us, and we had a great time doing our part in ensuring our home stays beautiful - Join us again next year!
Georgetown’s very first public art mural to go through the Georgetown Arts and Culture Board’s new Commercial Mural Process has been approved by the City and will be implemented on the west wall of Gus’s Drug on University Ave. Local artist Sarah Blankenship designed the mural and will coordinate with community volunteers to come out and help her paint the mural!
Reset Mentoring is a non-profit organization that was created to help teens RESET their lives. The Don Quick Team was able to collect and donate gifts and prizes to supply a Reset Mentoring Easter egg hunt.
19. Brookwood in Georgetown - Art from the Heart 7th Annual Art Auction
Brookwood in Georgetown is a very out of the box innovative vocational community for adults with special needs where everything they make, they sell in a beautiful high end gift shop, cafe and greenhouse. They want to change the way our world views this population by taking the status quo of providing these individuals with custodial care to these individuals creating beautiful, marketable items to sell to help sustain the vocational community they enjoy everyday. They have become artisans, bakers, gardeners, card makers, jewelry makers, and more.
All proceeds from the annual Grip It N Rip It Golf Tournament benefiting the CHASCO Family YMCA will go toward the CHASCO Family YMCA annual campaign where 100% of every dollar raised goes back directly to serving our community.
21. Saffron Trust Women’s Foundation - COVID-19 Education Presenation Series Marketing and Design
Saffron Trust Women’s Foundation works to improve the mental and physical health of underserved women, mothers-to-be, and mothers that are receiving social support services. Our goal is to provide healthier life outcomes for the women we serve.
Our mission is to save at-risk dogs and cats in the Georgetown area from uncertain fates in shelters and stray animal communities. Our TNR group provides these cats with food and water every day.
24. COVID Takeout Challenge / Service Industry Emergency Relief Support
The Don Quick Team is making numerous efforts to support nonprofits and other local grassroots organizations that are working to help those affected by COVID-19. We are proud to support as many restaurants and bars — as well as the workers behind those establishments — during this difficult time, in any way we can.
25. Family Eldercare Summer Fan Drive
The idea is simple: an inexpensive fan to help provide some relief from the searing Texas heat. For 30 years, that simple idea has engaged our community in one of the largest efforts of its kind in the nation, and helped to boost the year-round mission of Family Eldercare.
Austin Pets Alive! began when vulnerable, homeless pets truly needed us the most. When the organization was first imagined, Austin had a kill-rate of 87% – today, the save-rate is 97%. Through hardships, APA has found inspiration; and through this inspiration, APA has saved lives. APA has led the way to Austin becoming the largest No Kill city in the country.
The Texas Food Run Challenge is designed to motivate you to move more, while also providing you an opportunity to help feed those facing serious food insecurity right now. Feeding Texas is a statewide network of food banks leading a unified effort to end hunger in Texas. Together with our 21 member food banks, we reach over 3 million Texans annually with food and resources and engage the state in the fight against hunger. We are a Partner Association of Feeding America, the nation’s leading hunger-relief organization.
DQCM was able to fill 3 car loads full of clothing such as men’s shirts and suit jackets. All together the items added up to nearly 300 articles of clothing with most still on hangers inside dry-cleaning bags. The items were then donated to the Round Rock Serving Center and Goodwill.
29. Don Quick & Associates, Inc. Honorary 50th Anniversary Education Scholarship
Don Quick & Associates, Inc. has achieved the monumental milestone of 50 years in business because of our dedication to serving our clients with care as well as sharing our success in the way of charitable service to the community. This scholarship fund was established to reward students who have proven their dedication to building a better community through personal volunteer efforts or community service. The scholarship fund was open to all graduating RRISD students interested in pursuing a career in business or real estate. Don Quick & Associates, Inc. partnered with the Round Rock Partners in Education Foundation to facilitate and award the scholarships through their well-established scholarship program. Four scholarships in the amount of $1,250 each were awarded.
The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.
The Hope Alliance Mission is to assist those whose lives have been affected by family and sexual violence by providing safety, services and developing partnerships that lead to hope, healing, and prevention.
Texas wildlife management and conservation suffered a terrible loss in the deaths of Dr. Bob Dittmar, Brandon White and Dewey Stockbridge from a helicopter crash at the Black Gap WMA in Brewster County on August 8th. Dewey Stockbridge, an employee of the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, was a beloved husband and father of a young family. He leaves behind his wife Shannon, their son, Jameson – age 5, and daughter, London - age 1. Texas Wildlife Association Director and Executive Committee member Nyle Maxwell and his wife Nancy have established an educational trust fund for Jameson and London for their future education. The trust is set up to accept gifts from third parties.
33. Pet Supply Drive benefiting Austin Pets Alive!

34. American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Out of the Darkness Community Walk in Memory of Justin Kerns
AFSP's signature fundraising series brings together friends, family, and supporters in more than 400 communities nationwide. We have joined a community of people from hundreds of cities across the country in support of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.
Operation Liberty Hill is more than a just food pantry. We also offer clothing and household items free of charge to those in the community who need these services. Often we can provide financial assistance to residents of the Liberty Hill ISD who need help with utilities, prescription drugs and auto fuel. We assist with referrals for food stamps and WIC. Future plans include offering our clients finance classes, nutrition classes and computer classes. OLH works hand in hand with other service providers in the area to provide job readiness and skills training, English 2nd language classes, and GED preparedness.
Every day, blood donors help patients of all ages: accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer. In fact, every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. Whether a patient receives whole blood, red cells, platelets or plasma, this lifesaving care starts with one person making a generous donation.
In an effort to raise awareness about mental health issues affecting our society today, a majority of Don Quick & Associates, Inc. meetings in Q4 2020 will be delayed by one minute to encourage everyone to “Take A Minute” to think about mental health. The mission of Central Texas Table of Grace is to create a loving, nurturing, home-like environment for displaced youth in the Central Texas area, providing shelter and healthy food as well as teaching healthy habits and life skills.
Catherine Reedy with DQCM launched a special campaign that was able to serve five different Fire stations in Round Rock. This gesture was carried out by Cat and her family as a simple action to thank these fire fighters that serve our community.
40. All Hands and Heart Smart Response
When a natural disaster strikes, All Hands and Hearts arrives early and stays late to address the immediate and long-term needs of affected-communities. The communities they serve are not only vulnerable in terms of natural disasters, but also financially.
41. Heroes Night Out Veterans Resource Center Sponsorship
Heroes Night Out is a non-profit community based organization that is dedicated to enhancing and supporting Service Members, Veterans, First Responders and their family members through programs and services in a caring, safe, family-friendly environment; which is immersed with peers and battle buddies.
At Don Quick & Associates, Inc., we understand the importance of giving back through volunteer efforts and donations in support of the community we live and work in. Irulian Dabbs has graciously decided to to make contributions in the names of her clients to local charities of their choice.
43. Any Baby Can | Adopt-A-Family
Adopt-a-Family matches client families with people in our community who are able to provide a holiday gift for each family member. For families who may feel overwhelmed or have to make decisions about paying bills, keeping the heat on, or getting food on the table, the thought of buying gifts can seem unattainable.

STARRY nurtures children, strengthens families, and restores hope through counseling, family support, foster care, and adoption. STARRY serves children and their families whether they are navigating through the foster care and adoption system or are seeking family support services such as counseling, youth skills, and parenting skills.
The V Foundation for Cancer Research was founded by ESPN and legendary basketball coach Jim Valvano with one goal in mind: to achieve Victory Over Cancer®.

Micah 6 distributes more than 10,000 pounds of food each month. Just over half the food comes from the Central Texas Food Bank. We rely on direct donations for the rest. Volunteers pick food up at area stores like Randalls, H-E-B, Whole Foods, Pepperidge Farm, and Trader Joe’s.
The Central Texas Food Bank works with food donors across the country, financial supporters and volunteers to fill unmet needs in Central Texas. This commitment from private, government and charitable partners has allowed them to bring 39 million meals to our community last year and into the hands of families and local nonprofits that turn to us for help.
